Nearly 5,200 people visited the Toledo Zoo yesterday, nearly 30 percent more than the zoo had anticipated would show up. But that estimate - 4,000 visitors - was made before one of its African elephants, Renee, gave birth to the as-yet-unnamed male. The calf will be on exhibit during regular zoo hours, 10 a.m. 5 p.m., today.
