Man unearths bones in Sandusky County

CLYDE, Ohio - A Sandusky County man who was building a pond on his property uncovered human remains.

The man was working Monday night at his home north of Clyde in Townsend Township.

Sandusky County sheriff's deputies said the area is near a site where an archeological dig took place and ancient Native American remains were found. They said the remains looked very old.

The Sandusky County Coroner's Office is investigating and will consult with the Lucas County Coroner's Office about the remains.
