BOWLING GREEN — The Wood County Educational Service Center is eyeing a piece of land for an office down the road from the building it rents from county commissioners.
The Wood County Planning Commission today will consider a request to rezone an eight-acre parcel at the northeast corner of Dunbridge and Napoleon roads from agricultural to neighborhood commercial. The application, filed by Robert Maurer, states that the service center “is interested in the site for an office building.”
Gina Fernbaugh, treasurer for the service center, said the plan is one of “various options” the board has been looking at since last year when a new state law went into effect allowing counties to charge rent to educational service centers.
