Primary election unneeded in Perrysburg, Northwood

No primary election will be necessary for the November city council races in Perrysburg and Northwood.

According to nominating petitions filed by this week's deadline with the Wood County Board of Elections, just three candidates are seeking three council seats in Northwood, while seven candidates will vie for four openings on Perrysburg council. The races are nonpartisan.

In Perrysburg, council candidates are Philip Caron, Mark Hummer, Kim Klewer, Lisabeth Larson-Shidler, Timothy McCarthy, Thomas Mackin, and Kevin Rantanen.

Jim Moore, Richard Radocy, and Timothy Reardon are running for Northwood council. David Gallaher and Mark Stoner are running for Northwood mayor.
