STONY RIDGE — Three people were hurt yesterday when a car and a pickup collided head-on on U.S. 20 in Wood County's Troy Township.
The Ohio Highway Patrol said Mary C. Fink, 66, of Sandusky was westbound on U.S. 20 near State Rt. 163 about 3:24 p.m. when she drove left of center and struck a truck driven by William C. Williams, 60, of Millbury. Mr. Williams; wife, Constance, 59, was pinned in their vehicle for more than an hour before she could be freed. U.S. 20 was closed in both directions for 11/2 hours.
The Williamses were admit|ted to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and Ms. Fink was admitted to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals. All three were in serious condition.
The accident remains under investigation, the highway patrol said.
