Put-in-Bay hosts legislators in push for tourism funds
PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio — About 40 state lawmakers are expected to visit the Lake Erie islands today and tomorrow during a bipartisan tour sponsored by Rep. Chris Redfern (D., Port Clinton) and state Sen. Randy Gardner (R., Bowling Green).
“Put-in-Bay Legislative Days” will include visits to tourist sites on South Bass Island, Middle Bass Island, and Kelleys Island, plus a boat tour of the region. The local lawmakers hosting the event hope to encourage state funding for tourism promotion.
