4 hurt, 2 seriously, in head-on collision

Four people were hurt, two seriously, when two vehicles collided last night near Garden and Perrysburg-Holland roads, firefighters said.

A car driven by Brittany Navarre, 18, collided head-on with a sport-utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male just before 9:30 p.m. The cause of the crash was not clear last night, firefighters said.

Ms. Navarre and her passengers — Josh Miller and Allyson Ball, both 16 — had to be extricated from the vehicle. Fire|fighters said the two passengers, both of whom were taken to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, were hurt seriously. Ms. Navarre was taken to St. Luke's Hospital. Their conditions were unavailable last night.

The driver of the SUV, whose name was unavailable, suffered minor injuries, firefighters said.
