BOWLING GREEN — Wood County Commissioners have awarded contracts totaling more than $1 million for road and railroad crossing improvements in the county.
The projects, which were recommended by county Engineer Tony Allion, will be paid for with State Issue II funds.
S.E. Johnson, Inc. was awar|ded the contract for improvements on Poe Road in Grand Rapids, Washington, and Weston townships and on Cross Creek Road in Middleton and Plain townships.
B. Hill'z Excavating, Inc., was awarded the railroad crossing improvement contract for Bays Road in Milton Township, and Crestline Paving, Inc. will do the Custar Road crossing in Jackson Township.
