Oregon police found the body of an 18-year-old local woman along a secluded road last night in a vacant industrial park.
The body of Christina Deal of Van Buren Street was found by a police crew on patrol at about 7 p.m. along Wynnscape Road, which is just south of the intersection of Cedar Point and Wynn roads, officials said. Bob Hannon, a Lucas County coroner's investigator, said she had been stabbed but that police found no weapon at the scene.
Mr. Hannon said she was reportedly last seen early Saturday.
Police Chief Tom Gulch said the body was clothed in a short-sleeved shirt and jeans, but without a jacket. Chief Gulch estimated that the body had been there for about 12 hours.
Dr. Cynthia Beisser, Lucas County deputy coroner, said she could not comment until after an autopsy is performed.
Toledo police sent an evidence technician to the scene at the request of Oregon police.
