TIFFIN - Tiffin University will mark the start of construction today on two campus buildings.
University officials will break ground and lay brick at 4:30 p.m. for the Hertzer Technology Center and the Hayes Center for the Arts, which are part of an $8.5 million campus improvement campaign.
The Hertzer Center, named for university alumni Bill and Jean Hertzer, will include offices for faculty members and staff of the school's information technology services Department, as well as classrooms with up-to-date technology.
The Hayes Center will include space for educational programs and arts presentations. It is named for David Hayes, a university alumni and trustee. Dr. Hayes, who holds an honorary doctor of laws degree from the university, is president and chief executive officer of Hayes & Associates, Inc., and a member of the Sky Trust NA board of directors.
