REPUBLIC, Ohio — The village of Republic has hired a Tiffin police sergeant as chief of police.
Frederick Stevens, a 10-year veteran of the Tiffin department, was chosen Monday night for the part-time job in Republic, which is in Seneca County. He will remain commander of the Tiffin police department's overnight shift.
