Zoo seeks signatures for Roy Horn banner
The Toledo Zoo is planning to send a get-well banner signed by area residents to Roy Horn, the renowned Las Vegas magician who remains in critical condition after being mauled by a tiger during a recent performance.
The zoo will place the banner at its Anthony Wayne Trail entrance pavilion today through Oct. 24. Visitors do not have to pay a zoo entrance fee to sign the 3-foot by 6-foot banner.
Mr. Horn, of the duo Siegfried and Roy, has worked with white tigers and white lions for many years.
The duo uses them in magic acts and funds breeding programs for the rare animals.
Three of their white lions are on exhibit at the Toledo Zoo.
