The grand reopening of the Birmingham branch of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library on Paine Avenue in East Toledo was held Monday with many community leaders, neighbors and library officials in attendance.
The branch has undergone an $800,000 face-lift that more than doubled the collection space and greatly expanded its popular children s area.
Georgianna and Dorothy Saloff, who are sisters, former East Toledo teachers and Birmingham residents, stand in front of the plaque naming the children s area after them.
