Illinois truck driver dies in crash in Wyandot Co.

WHARTON, Ohio — An Illinois man was killed yesterday in a two-truck accident on U.S. 30 in Wyandot County, sheriff's deputies said.

Robert Robles, 33, Bensenville, Ill., who was thrown from his truck by the impact, was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Steven Farmer, the county coroner. The accident was reported at 9:04 a.m.

Mr. Robles was eastbound on U.S. 30 near the intersection with State Rt. 293 and pulled out into the westbound lane and collided with another truck driven by Dale Brenneman, 60, New Castle, Ind.

Mr. Brenneman was taken to Wyandot Memorial Hospital and released for minor injuries. Deputies say he was wearing his seat belt.
