Archbold firm wins Holland-Sylvania bridge contract

An Archbold, Ohio, firm has received an $889,774.60 state contract to rehabilitate a bridge on Holland-Sylvania Road over I-475 in Sylvania Township, the Ohio Department of Transportation said.

Harper Structures is expected to begin work this spring.

Construction will include replacing the bridge s concrete deck, approach slabs, and fences and repainting its structural steel.

Holland-Sylvania will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the work site just south of Sylvania Avenue, and nighttime lane closings will occur on I-475.

Construction is scheduled to end by Aug. 30.
