A South Toledo man was hospitalized in serious condition last night, a day after his motorcycle crashed at Sherman and Locust streets.
Ocolar Macklin III, 37, of Campbell Street, was being treated in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after the accident about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, authorities said. He was riding on Sherman toward Locust when his motorcycle skidded about 25 feet and went onto its side, police said.
The motorcycle slid about 80 feet before hitting a vehicle, which police believe took off. Mr. Macklin was not wearing a helmet, police said.
