GOING UP

A worker cuts metal studs to hold walls for the new Bellevue Hospital being built on a 32-acre site at County Road 302 and U.S. 20 two miles west of downtown Bellevue. The 85-bed facility, under construction since June, will replace the 67-bed hospital on Northwest Street that opened in 1917. The new hospital is to be completed in April, 2005.
