WAUSEON - The Fulton County commissioners yesterday awarded a bid to a Vandalia, Ohio, company for improvement work at the former county landfill.
R.B. Jergens Contractors, Inc., will be paid $261,987 to address seepage problems at the York Township site, which was closed in the early 1980s.
The county is under an order from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to complete a landfill improvement plan by October.
