Hamler, Ohio, woman hurt in car-truck crash

ADRIAN - A Hamler, Ohio, woman was seriously hurt in a car-truck accident Wednesday afternoon in Madison Township.

Ashley Brubaker, an Adrian College student, turned left out of a Wal-Mart parking lot at about 3 p.m. and collided with a tractor-trailer that was eastbound on U.S. 223, police said.

She was taken by helicopter to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, where she was listed in serious condition. Robin Huth, 19, a passenger in the Brubaker vehicle, was treated at the scene. Perl Stephens, 51, of Adrian, the driver of the truck, and an unidentified passenger were not injured, police said.
