Northwood will consider Menard's zoning request

A zoning change requested by the Menard's home-improvement store chain for a site on Curtice Road near I-280 will be the subject of a Northwood Planning Commission review next week.

Menard, Inc., has requested that 9.29 acres at 3303 and 3305 Curtice be rezoned from agricultural and rural residential use to commercial. The site is on the southeast corner of the Curtice/I-280 interchange.

The planning commission's meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. July 12 in the city council chambers at the Northwood Municipal Building, 6000 Wales Rd. Once the commission makes a recommendation to city council concerning the petition, a public hearing will be held.
