Motorcycle crash critically injures woman

PORT CLINTON - Two people were hurt yesterday, one critically, when their motorcycle crashed into a car on State Rt. 163 just north of Port Clinton Airport, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The motorcycle passenger, Sherry Miles, 43, of Toledo, was flown to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, where she was listed in critical condition.

The driver of the motorcycle, Robert Phillips, 48, of McCord Road, Sylvania, was treated at Magruder Hospital.

Mr. Phillips was eastbound on Route 163 in Portage Township near State Rt. 53 North about 2 p.m. when a car driven by Amanda Cleckner, 20, of Port Clinton, pulled out of a driveway into his path, troopers said.
