Two pet bobcats belonging to a Spencer Township woman remained on the loose yesterday while Lucas County sheriff's deputies tracked down leads that so far haven't led to the animals' capture.
"We've gotten a lot of sightings," acting sheriff's Sgt. Gloria Fasue said. "But we've followed up, and there is no bobcat around."
Ann Hauden told deputies her three bobcats were missing when she returned Tuesday to her home on Shaffer Road. Someone used wire cutters during a burglary to open an outdoor cage to free the animals, deputies said.
One was found later that night during a search of the area.
