PORT CLINTON - A motorcycle passenger, who was critically injured after suffering a head injury in an accident July 28, died yesterday.
Sherry Miles, 43, of Toledo was flown to Medical College of Ohio Hospitals after the accident, according to the Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Troopers said she was wearing a helmet.
The accident occurred on State Rt. 163 in Portage Township near State Rt. 53 North when Amanda Cleckner, 20, of Port Clinton pulled out of a driveway into the eastbound path of the motorcycle driven by Robert Phillips, 48, of McCord Road, Sylvania, about 2 p.m., troopers said.
Mr. Phillips was treated at Magruder Hospital for minor injuries.
No charges have been filed, and the crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
