Authorities looking for teen girl missing since Wednesday

The Lucas County sheriff's office is looking for a 16-year-old girl who ran away from her Springfield Township home.

Jessica Bender left her South Crissey Road home about 5 p.m. Wednesday. A day later, a friend saw her alone at the Target store at Spring Meadows Shopping Center, investigators said.

She left her grandparents a note saying she cut her wrist and had to leave because no one likes her at home. Detectives are concerned about her well-being. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 419-213-4920.
