Motorcycle hits tree; female passenger hurt

A South Toledo woman was seriously injured Friday after the motorcycle on which she was a passenger crashed into a tree a few blocks from her home.

Shannon Knemeyer, who was listed in critical condition yesterday at Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, was thrown from the motorcycle and landed on the sidewalk at Dundee and Walsh streets about 3:10 p.m., police said.

Driving the motorcycle west on Dundee was Stanley Miller, whose address, like Ms. Knemeyer s was listed as 524 Federman St. Mr. Miller was treated at MCO Hospitals for an arm injury, authorities said.
