FREMONT - The Sandusky County commissioners have finalized the sale of the Fort Stephenson senior citizen complex.
The commissioners Tuesday transferred the deed to the Fort Stephenson building to Kenneth Humbard and Kathy Burkin, who agreed in June to pay just over $1 million for the property on West State Street.
The pair plan to continue operating the building, which has 56 apartment units, as a subsidized housing complex for seniors.
