Rossford board admits leaning wall is its work

Rossford officials have said for the last three years the leaning wall behind Rossford High School was the city's responsibility, but archived blueprints appear to prove otherwise.

The Rossford school board was told recently the wall was built in 1963 with the fill dirt from the basement of Rossford Junior High School, making the wall the board's responsibility, district Treasurer James Rossler, Jr., said.

The board last night unanimously approved paying Poggemeyer Design Group Inc. $9,500 to survey and draw up a plan for the wall before it is put out to bid, Mr. Rossler said.
