Guinness honors Ballreich for record-setting chip bag

TIFFIN Ballreich Brothers Inc., maker of the Ballreich line of potato chips and snacks, recently became one of five Ohio potato chip companies recognized by Guinness World Records for constructing the world s largest potato chip bag.

The bag, which weighed in at 1,082.5 pounds, was unveiled at the Ohio State Fair in August, 2003.

Filled with 16,000 one-ounce servings of edible chips, the bag measured 8 feet by 5 feet by 5 feet.

It was produced in recognition of the potato chip s 150th anniversary in 2003.
