ADDISON, Mich. - Two people were killed and five hurt yesterday in a head-on crash along U.S. 127, two miles north of Addison, Lenawee County sheriff's deputies said.
The identities of the victims were unavailable last night pending notification of relatives.
Deputies said one of those killed was a female driver who was southbound on U.S. 127 about 1:50 p.m. in icy weather when her pickup crossed the center line and struck a northbound station wagon near the Pine Road intersection. The driver of the station wagon, a 77-year-old Virginia man, also died.
Two passengers in the pickup were hurt, as were three in the station wagon, deputies said. The injured were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Their identities, ages, and conditions were unavailable last night.
