Trustees last week approved revisions to the township's zoning regulations.
The revisions include changes to rules about planned unit developments, which fall under an alternative zoning category that aims to allow greater flexibility in development designs.
The new zoning code reduces the maximum density in planned unit developments from six to four dwelling units per acre and adds a series of conditions that allow developers to get additional density up to 14 units per acre.
Design elements that can get developers extra units of density include landscaped ponds, historical preservation, and conservation of wetlands.
