Michigan, Ohio offering trees for planting

The deadline for ordering trees and shrubs from Monroe Conservation District is next Friday. The district has sold out of its bittersweet and dawn redwood trees, and quantities of magenta crabapple are getting low.

To order, call the district office or print a form from the district's Web site, www.monroecd.org and click on "products."

In Ohio, April 8 is the last day to order some of the more than 20 varieties of tree seedlings for delivery this spring from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry. For information, check out its Web site, www.ohiodnr.com/forestry.
