Maumee City Council yesterday approved increases in some of the city s zoning and inspection fees.
Bruce Wholf, the city s building and zoning inspector, said the rates had not been increased for at least five years and were lower than fees charged by Toledo, Oregon, and Lucas and Wood counties. The increases bring us in line with the other communities, he said.
Changes to the fee schedule include doubling the cost of sanitary and storm sewer tap permits to $200 each, increasing the electrical permit fee for a new dwelling to $100 from $50 per unit, and raising the per unit cost of a new dwelling plumbing permit to $50 from $15.
