Ron McNally looks over bricks from the former Lowell Elementary and Emerson Junior High schools in Fostoria to use in his yard. The schools were torn down last month to clear a seven-acre parcel bounded by Perry, West High, and Elm streets for a Kroger supermarket. City officials collected $845 in donations for the Fostoria Community Schools library media fund during a brick giveaway last week and were accepting gifts for the fund during
a brick distribution held yesterday at the city s former parks and recreation office .
