Man killed in accident involving towed tractor

NEVADA, Ohio An area man died yesterday in Bucyrus Community Hospital after being injured in an accident on Wyandot County Road 430 at State Rt. 231 about a mile north of here, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

The victim was Jeffrey Cramer, 45, of Nevada, who was thrown from the driver s seat of a tractor being towed by Eric Cramer, 43, also of Nevada, who was driving a pickup truck.

The Cramer pickup-tractor rig was eastbound on Road 430 approaching Route 231 about 12:55 p.m. when it slowed for a pickup truck driven by Hazel Willhelm, 73, of Nevada, who was turning from westbound Road 430 south onto Route 231. That s when the chain being used to pull the tractor wrapped around the axle of the tractor, causing it to overturn, troopers at the patrol s Bucyrus post said.
