Castilia woman hurt in 1-vehicle accident

CASTILIA A Castilia woman was injured Saturday night in a one-vehicle accident several miles east of here, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Victoria Lewis, 19, was southbound on Bardshar Road near Bogart Road, at 10:40 p.m. when her vehicle left the right side of the road.

Troopers said Ms. Lewis attempted to regain control of her vehicle and went off the left side of the road, striking a utility pole. Ms. Lewis, who was not wearing a seat belt, struck her head on the windshield, troopers said.

She was taken by helicopter to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. A hospital spokesman declined to confirm Ms. Lewis was a patient.
