Motorcyclist dies of accident injuries

DEFIANCE - A 62-year-old man who was injured April 17 in a motorcycle accident in Paulding County died yesterday at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol's Van Wert post said.

Ronald Laws of Defiance, died about 5 p.m. yesterday, troopers said. His wife, Kathleen, 60, a passenger, remains in fair condition at Parkview.

Troopers said the motorcycle was southbound on State Rt. 111 near State Rt. 637, several miles south of Defiance, when it struck the guardrail of a bridge over the Auglaize River.

Mrs. Laws was riding in the motorcycle's sidecar, troopers said.
