Rock band cancels area appearance at county fair

LIMA, Ohio The rock band HOOBASTANK has canceled its appearance at the Allen County Fair this summer, prompting the fair board to try to schedule a different act for Aug. 21.

Jay Begg, fair manager, said yesterday the cancellation of the band resulted from a mistake by the group s management, which double-booked it for that day. The fair board hopes to line up a new band by June 1.

Anyone who already purchased a ticket for the show can return the tickets for a refund by Oct. 31 or get a same-seat exchange for the new concert by June 20.

Ticketholders can get a refund or exchange by stopping at the administration office at the fairgrounds or mailing the tickets with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Allen County Fair, 2750 Harding Hwy., Lima, Ohio 45804.
