Whitehouse Village Council selected six candidates last night that it will interview for the position of village administrator.
The village received 40 applications for the job, which became vacant when former Administrator Randy Bukas resigned earlier this year.
Officials plan to interview the candidates later this month.
The candidates selected for interviews are:
●Kirk Kern, former commissioner of community development for Maumee.
●Stephen Pauken, mayor of Maumee from 1993 to 1999 who worked most recently as municipal administrator for Frederick, Colo.
●Dennis Recker, former safety-service director of Delphos, Ohio.
●Eric Strahl, former town manager of Hopkinton, R.I.
●Andrew Votava, current administrator of Miami County, Ohio.
●Gary Ziegler, former development services director for Findlay.
