Waldron village officials keep posts in recall vote

WALDRON, Mich. Waldron voters decided on Tuesday to retain village President Harold Douglas and Councilman Roy Hall after former President Terry Rossi asked for a recall vote.

Mr. Douglas was retained by a 134-34 vote margin. Mr. Hall won his recall vote 116-34.

In asking for the recall vote, Mr. Rossi said Mr. Douglas and Mr. Hall were irresponsible in the execution of their duties.

Also on Tuesday, Waldron and Wright Township voters approved a one-mill levy that will provide the library with an extra $43,000 a year for an indefinite period.

The money will be used to buy new computers and books for the library.
