The wreck occurred shortly after 4 a.m. at Countyline and Elm streets.

Fostoria police Capt. Jimmy Dieter was driving the police cruiser on County line Street with lights and siren on. David Rygalski, 53, who was driving a Chevrolet Blazer, did not see the cruiser, and tried to turn left from Elm Street. The Blazer turned over.
