FINDLAY The city has been awarded a $200,000 grant to help the nonprofit North Central Campus for Emerging Technology buy land and a building for an emerging technologies incubator.
The organization plans to buy 25 acres and the 267,270-square-foot former Intersil plant that it will lease to Advanced Cerametrics Inc.
The company plans to make a fiber material using a recently patented technology that reduces weight, brittleness, and vibration.
The material would be used for clothing and for sports, acoustic, and medical equipment.
