Think of it as Oktoberfest with animals.
The Zoo Brew Fest at the Toledo Zoo will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the zoo's Nairobi Event Pavilion.
There will be micro-brewed beer tasting, live entertainment by a band playing traditional German music and a DJ, and lots of appetizers at this first-time event.
"It's a way to get people out to the zoo in the off-season," said Kristin Meyer, assistant group sales manager.
Admission is $40 for members and $45 for nonmembers. Reservations must be made in advance. Information: 419-385-5721 ext. 3092 or www.toledozoo.org.
