Fostoria shelter receives $20,000 Mary Kay grant

FOSTORIA A domestic-violence shelter in Fostoria has been awarded a $20,000 grant from Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.

The First Step Family Violence Intervention Center received the grant as part of $3 million in donations to 150 shelters and safe houses across the country in support of National Domestic Awareness Month.

The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation is very proud to present this grant to First Step Family Violence Intervention Center, which has demonstrated a strong commitment to eliminating the crime of domestic violence, and to helping its victims rebuild their lives, said Michael Lunceford, president of the foundation.
