Police ID motorcyclist, passenger in accident

Authorities yesterday released the names of a Toledo motorcyclist and a Temperance passenger who were involved in a crash with a car at Tremainsville and Wichita roads Tuesday night.

Johnny Schneider, 42, of 5849 Foth Drive, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident about 9:25 p.m.

His passenger, Stacy Ann Presley, 27, of Temperance, was in serious condition yesterday in Toledo Hospital.

The pair, who are acquaintances, were northbound on Tremainsville as James Willhauck, 22, of 2757 Tremainsville, was driving south and stopping for a traffic signal at the intersection, police said.

For an unknown reason, the motorcycle went left of center and into the southbound lane, where it struck the car, police said.

Mr. Schneider hit the car's windshield; Ms. Presley was thrown to the street. Police said neither was wearing a helmet.

Mr. Willhauck, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries but did not require treatment.

The accident remains under investigation, police said.
