MONROE About 1,000 DTE Energy customers here lost power yesterday for an as-yet-undetermined reason.
The outage, which began at 9:53 a.m., impacted a residential area bordered by Elm, Noble, Lorain, and Arbor streets, DTE spokesman Scott Simons said.
Mr. Simons said a fractured utility pole and downed wires were discovered in the area, but the reason for the outage remains unknown.
Monroe County sheriff s deputies said no vehicle accident was reported in the area.
Power was restored to about half the customers by 1:30 p.m. The remaining customers had their power restored last night, Mr. Simons said.
