The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank yesterday announced that it has been given a refrigerated truck by actor Paul Newman and Ford Motor Co., through a partnership with America s Second Harvest.
The nationwide Food Bank Network is in its fifth consecutive year of providing refrigerated trucks and food to 10 food banks across the United States.
The trucks will be used to deliver food throughout the northwest Ohio area.
This refrigerated truck will allow us to increase our distribution of frozen and perishable food to the over 330 member agencies that we serve in the eight-county northwest Ohio area, said James Caldwell, president of the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank.
