JONESVILLE, Mich. First-time homebuyers in Jonesville have been given the OK by the town council to participate in a purchase rehabilitation program sponsored by the state s Housing Development Authority.
Under the program, homebuyers may borrow up to $25,000 for moderate repairs and renovations to homes they bought recently. An additional $10,000 may be borrowed to remove lead paint.
The loans are interest-free and don t have to be paid back until the homeowners sell their houses. Applications must be received March 23-27.
