Lucas County will host the first forfeited land sale of the year at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the county commissioners' meeting room on the first floor of Government Center.
Up for sale will be 133 parcels; the bidding begins at $40 per parcel.
Cash, checks, or money orders are the only acceptable forms of payment. A successful bidder must have a deposit of 15 percent or $150, whichever is greater. If a bid is $150 or less, the purchase price must be paid in full, plus fees of $33.89.
A list of properties on the auction block and preliminary research can be done online at the auditor's Web site, www.co.lucas.oh.us , or by visiting the county auditor's office, Suite 770, in Government Center.
