A Sylvania Township man driving a sport utility vehicle struck a guardrail on I-75 just north of the DiSalle Bridge yesterday. The vehicle rolled over and burst into flames, but the driver escaped the incident unscathed, authorities said.
Paul Stutzenstein, 24, of 4821 Whiteford Rd. told police he was heading south on the highway at about noon when he was cut off by a tractor-trailer.
Police said the SUV's brakes locked and that it struck the western guardrail, rolled, and then caught fire.
Traffic on the highway was reduced to one lane for about an hour, police said.
