Motorcyclist, 17, killed on Rt. 64 near Metamora

METAMORA, Ohio A motorcyclist was killed after losing control of his cycle on the eastern outskirts of this Fulton County village yesterday, authorities said.

Kevin McKenzie, Jr., 17, of Lyons, Ohio, was riding east on State Rt. 64 near County Rd. 2 at 12:18 p.m. when he lost control and went off the right side of the road, the Ohio Highway Patrol post said. He then struck two trees and was thrown from his vehicle.

Mr. McKenzie was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. The crash remains under investigation.
